FG appoints Vanguard Columnist as NBC DG

The Federal Government, Wednesday, appointed Vanguard Columnist, Mr. Ishaq Modibo Kawu as the Director-General, Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) among six others in the Ministry of Information and Culture.

The appointments were announced in Abuja by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

Mr. Kawu until his new appointment, was a columnist with the Vanguard Newspapers.

Others appointed include: Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Managing Director, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN); Mr. Mansur Liman, Director-General, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN); Yakubu Mohammed, Director-General, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA); Garba Abari, Director-General, National Orientation Agency (NOA) and Mr. Osita Okechukwu, Director-General, Voice of Nigeria (VON).
