The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Dr. Abubakar Abdul Dzukogi has called on the Federal  government to immediately  intervene in  the dichotomy between Degrees and Higher National Diploma (HND) certificates  in order to move the country forward technologically.

He said instead of laying emphasis on acquisition of Certificate alone, more attention should be paid on skills which are the veritable tools to develop any country technologically.

According to him, laying more emphasis on Certificate acquisition is not supposed to be so in the first instance because it is not the Certificate that will make the turn around but the skills acquired by individuals.
