
Bukola saraki
The ongoing trial of the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, is yet to begin as at the time of filing this report (10:45am).
The case was on Wednesday adjourned till 10:00am on Thursday but as at 10:45am, the Chairman of the tribunal, Dan Ladi Umar and the counsel to the prosecution, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN) were not in the court.
The CCT, sitting on 18th April ordered a day-to-day hearing on the 13-count criminal charge pending against Saraki.
Recall that Saraki through his lawyer, Ajibola Oluyede on Wednesday filed another application to disqualify Danladi Umar, the chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, from continuing to preside over his trial.
