THE Ambassador to the United Nations Organization on Millennium Development Goals, Ambassador Oghenekaro Ekewenu has been appointed by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state as Executive Assistant on Marine Development.

Ambassador Ekewenu whose appointment takes effect immediately is a gentleman of unimpeachable integrity, PDP chieftain and philanthropist par excellence. He hails from Ugono-Orogun, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta Central Senatorial District of the state.

In a chat with Chief Gabriel Ariomagwa over the appointment of Ekewenu, he described Ekewenu as a bridge-builder between the youths and the elders, a demystifier of all orthodoxies, a simplifier of democratic access, an enhancer of youthful values and a centralizer of the imagination despite the pervasive humanistic challenges in the polity.

According to Ariomagwa, Governor Okowa just made another great choice, which goes to show that he is a detribalized Nigerian who wants the very best for all Deltans and indeed Nigerians at large. He pray God to grant Ekewenu long life and conducive atmosphere needed for sustained success on the new job in order to deliver on the SMART Agenda of Governor Okowa’s led administration.
