Warri Wolves have appointed Neville Bikederemo as their new chairman, with immediate effect. He takes over from Moses Etu, who was relieved of his job, following Champions League ouster.

Disclosing this yesterday, the Chairman, Delta State Sports Commission, Tony Okowa charged Bikederemo to make Warri Wolves a force to contend with in the Nigerian Premier League, noting that the team have the players to wrestle the league title from the grip of Enyimba.

Okowa said Bikederemo’s antecedents in sports make him a right choice for the new appointment, urging him not to rest on laurels as the task to get the best out of warri Wolves starts in earnest.

Wolves finished last season in second place, qualifying for this year’s CAF Champions Leag-ue, which they have since crashed out from in the qualifying round.

And the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick has thanked Okowa and backed Bikederemo to tinker Warri Wolves to success.

Speaking on the telephone yesterday, Pinnick said “I believe that Bikederemo knows the terrain all too well and is keen to make Warri Wolves the pride of Delta State. I believe Warri Wolves will do even better under his watch as chairman.”
