The Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH has set up an investigative panel on the death of Mrs Ngozi Udebu, who died in the hospital on Monday, March 28, 2016.
In a statement, the Public Relations Officer, Mr Kelechi Otuneme said the panel had been mandated to look into the issues surrounding the death.
He said the hospital management sympathised with the family of the deceased on the loss and implored the public to wait for the report of the panel which would be made public soon.
Meanwhile, a Non Governmental organisation, Hope Alive Child Care Initiative alongside Medical Police has called on the management of LUTH and the Federal Ministry of Health to urgently release the result of the investigation.
The founder, Mrs. Adaugo Nwalema, said the rate Nigerians die in the hands of medical workers out of negligence and lack of facilities is no longer acceptable.
