Warri—The Association of Iwere Liberated Indigenes, AILI, has stated that the Chevron created development organization, Itsekiri Regional Development Council, IRDC, is separate from all traditional institutions even as it applauded the inauguration of the Austin Oniyesan-led new executives.

In a statement by AILI General Co-ordinator, Mr. Ayonmi Oritsebemiwuno, the group said: “We applauded the Oniyesan-led executive on the ground that due processes known to IRDC constitution were upheld and duly adhered to in its enthronement and official inauguration.”

The group condemned Mr. Roland Yomere for dragging the respected name and institution of the Olu of Warri into IRDC affairs.
