Goodluck Jonathan Endorses Effort to End Modern Slavery

In his effort to promote liberty in Africa and all over the world, former Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, on Wednesday met with Mr. Andrew Forrest, founder of The Walk Free Foundation, the world’s preeminent anti Modern slavery body, which also publishes the annual Global Slavery Index.

The Global Slavery Index is published to increase awareness of the problem of modern slavery and the Walk Free Foundation, which founded the Freedom Fund, is active in helping many thousands of people caught up in modern slavery achieve their freedom.

Mr. Andrew Forrest is an Australian billionaire and mining mogul who has pledged to give out half his fortune to charity.

Former President Jonathan met with Mr. Forrest and his daughter, Grace, in New Jersey where he also endorsed their work in a video message.

Dr. Goodluck Jonathan is chairman of the Goodluck Jonathan foundation which is committed to spreading democracy and freedom throughout Africa.
