UYO—THE Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mr. Onofiok Luke, at yesterday’s plenary, swore in the four members of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who were re-elected after the re-run election held last month in their various constituencies.

The lawmakers were presented with their certificates of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on, Monday.

The lawmakers are the member representing Ibesikpo Asutan state constituency, Mr. Aniekan Uko (immediate past Speaker), Aniefiok Dennis of Etinan state constituency, Idongesit Ntekpre and Effiong Bassey, members representing Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara and Oron/Udung Uko state constituencies respectively.

The Speaker thanked God for making the return of their colleagues possible.

He said that he was happy that their colleagues had returned to join other members of the House in their committed efforts to ensure that dividends of democracy were delivered to the people.
