BENIN—CHIEF Dan Orbih was, yesterday, re-elected as the Edo State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for another four years tenure in office.
His only opponent in the election supervised by the Chief Sergeant Awuse-led National Electoral Committee, Mr. Simon Akharamhe, stepped down for Chief Orbih thus paving the way for him to be returned unopposed.

Others elected were Mr. Emma Ogbomo, Deputy State chairman; Chief Felix Imoisili, State Secretary; Mr. Segun Sarki, Vice-Chairman, Edo North; Mr. Benjamin Ehilenbodiaye, Vice Chairman, Edo Central; Mr. Mike Ehima, Vice Chairman Edo South and Prof. Edoba Omoregie, State Legal Adviser.
Also elected were Mr. Chris Nehikhare, State Publicity Secretary; Dr. Israel Aguele, Treasurer; Dr. Wilson Imoga, Auditor; Mr. Henry Tenebe, State Organising Secretary; Mrs. Tes Sorae, Woman Leader and Thaodeau Irabor who emerged Youth Leader, among others.

Rendering his stewardship earlier, as the state chairman of the party in the last four years, Chief Orbih appreciated the cooperation of elders and leaders of the party for the confidence they reposed in his team as they were able to play the role of opposition creditably.
He said that in the last four years, his team was able to tell Edo people that the Adams Oshiomhole-led administration and the All Progressives Congress, APC, were rapacious in the governance of the state and mismanaged the finances and economy of the state.
