There are emerging indications that the Abia North Senatorial District re-run election, might be declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The result from Bende Local government area, was the game-changer for the former governor of the state and candidate of the Progressives Peoples Alliance, Orji Uzor Kalu, with over 14, 000 votes as against the 5, 000 of the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa.

The over 9, 000 deficit significantly reduced the over 10, 000 lead of the PDP candidate, who won the other four local government areas of the state.

Difference in final votes between Senator Ohuabunwa and Chief Kalu is over 195 votes.
