UYO—Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has enjoined Christians to use the Easter celebration to reflect on the essence of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ who, without guilt, died to reconcile mankind with God.

Governor Emmanuel stated this yesterday at the United Evangelical Church, (Qua Iboe Church), Uyo, saying the celebration of Easter should compel every Christian to let go of self-indulgence and seek the good of mankind.

The governor also enjoined the church to set the tone for the re-unification of Qua Iboe Church to suit the vision of its founding father, Rev. Samuel Bill, as according to him, if the crucifixion of the son of God had brought the Jews and the Gentiles under one fold, no member of the Church was justified to mortgage the vision of the founding fathers to promote discord in the body of Christ.
