Warri Progressive Forum, WPF, has urged the member representing Warri South I Constituency in Delta State House of Assembly, Mrs Omawumi Udoh, to key into the SMART agenda of the state government so as to better the lives of her constituents.
WPF, which was the campaign organisation of Udoh, urged her to see her victory at the Court of Appeal as a call to further work towards the deepening of democracy in Nigeria.
Addressing newsmen in Warri, spokesperson of the group and Special Adviser, News Media, to Delta State governor, Mr. Michael Tidi, said: “We are pleased to offer our congratulations over Mrs Udoh’s historic oath-taking as the member representing Warri South constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.
“We express the hope that she will be quite humbled by the tortuous electoral journey she went through and cannot afford to conduct the business of legislation without regard for the genuine feelings of her constituents.”
We equally commend her for raising the bar of politics in Warri South LGA, as her victory has shown that she is a woman of exceptional determination with great reserves of personal courage and wisdom.”
