FIFA U-17 World Cup 2015 champions Golden Eaglets will play Niger Republic in the second round qualifiers for the 2017 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations while the Flying Eagles will face the winner of the first round clash between Congo DR and Burundi in May.
The draws were conducted during the CAF Executive Committee meeting held on Friday, February 5, 2016 in Kigali, Rwanda.
Seven teams will emerge from the qualifiers to join the hosts for the final tournaments early next year.
The final tournament of the U-17 AFCON will be held from 2-16 April, 2017 in Madagascar, whilst the U-20 AFCON has been fixed for 26 February to 12 March 2017 in Zambia.
The top four finishers at the continental championship qualify to represent Africa at the respective FIFA World Cups. The top four teams in Madagascar will represent Africa at the 2017 U17 World Cup in India.
