TODAY marks the 49th day of  the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s declared 50-day fasting and prayer which began on January 11, this year and the seven prayer points for the day

*Father, let there be increase, expansion and growth in my work and business. (1 Chronicles 4:10)

*Lord, I take everything the enemy has stolen from me today. (2 Kings 6:5-7)

*Father, I claim all your promises, prosperity, healing, fruitfulness, etc.

*Declare that RCCG will prosper, blossom and expand. (Exodus 23:25-26)

*Lord, I command every power of curses in my life to be broken. (Haggai 2:19-20)

*Father, let the glory of this present house (RCCG) be greater than the former. (Haggai 2:9)

*Declare joy, peace, restoration, testimony upon RCCG. (Zechariah. 10:1)

Fresh from the fasting and prayer session tomorrow and while the world awaits the testimonies, the church begins another record-breaking event, Marathon Messiah Praise, to herald this year’s birthday anniversary of the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye who will be 74 years old on March 2 this year.

Marathon Messiah’s Praise which begins at 10.00 p.m. tomorrow at the Youth Centre, is a non-stop musical extravaganza planned to express gratitude to God for His mercies upon the life of the General Overseer, designed to create a new pattern of praise in this dispensation.

According to the National Youth Programme Director, Pastor Oluwadare Adeboye, the vision of the marathon praise was birthed in 2012 to allow God’s children engage in a long lasting spiritual worship experience, and it has grown bigger and blossomed to become the longest gospel musical event globally. “The annual worship experience, which started as 70 hours of Marathon Messiah’s Praise, has grown in grace to 71, 72, 73, and now 74, we will be worshipping God for 74 hours non-stop,” he stated.

He maintained that this year’s marathon praise will feature the Holy Spirit alongside more than 70 worship leaders simultaneously in three countries—Nigeria, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

“There will be three stages in three different locations namely Nigeria – RCCG Youth Centre, Redemption Camp in Nigeria, for South Africa, RCCG South Africa 2 Headquarters in Johannesburg”.

While in the United Kingdom, it will hold at the RCCG Jesus House, London, United Kingdom,” he stated, adding that the programme would commence at 10.00 p.m. prompt on February 29, and end at 3.00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3.

Considering the nature of the programme, officiating would be on a shift basis. Feeding, hostel accommodation and transportation would be made available for all registered volunteers during this period, he stated.

For the two other satellite stages in South Africa and UK, the programme would consequently continue the March 1 between 1800Hrs and 2000Hrs GMT+2 in South Africa, while the United Kingdom will be up on March 2, from 1900Hrs and 2100Hrs GMT.

As the two stages outside the country would be ministering at their allocated time, there won’t be any activity on Nigerian stage, but the audience would join other worshippers from the two countries via satellite and screens that would be provided at the Youth Centre to view and join the other stages during their ministrations.

Ultima studios and TV Productions will be the backbone broadcast organisations. OHTV and RTM will broadcast live from the UK and South Africa respectively.

Meanwhile, a source close to the church, debunked insinuations in certain quarters that the prophecies of the General Overseer, hardly come to pass, arguing that readers only need a close watch of unfolding events to see the manifestations of God’s wondrous revelations through His humble servant.

“While releasing prophecies for the year 2016, Pastor Adeboye said, amongst others, that a new sexually transmitted disease will surface this year,” the source who wants to remain anonymous, said, adding “sadly, that has now become a reality as scientists have warned that an outbreak is imminent. The vertebrate hosts of the virus are primarily monkeys and human beings, hence there are reports that the virus can be sexually transmitted.”

According to the source, in one of his messages at the RCCG headquarters, Ebute Meta, Lagos, the General Overseer said: “Several years ago, when the Redeemed Christian Church of God was still very small, I told them what God said, that Presidents will come here to worship but their amen was weak. I moved further to say that God says more than that, God said Presidents will not only be members of the church; they will be ushers but the members then found it difficult to swallow, but, mark my words, whenever God speaks, the Holy Spirit sanctions it.

“Also in our London church which was fewer than us here in Nigeria, I told them that royalties will come to the church and worship; they giggled and said amen. I went further that God said nobody will be in government without our permission and they laughed,” our source argued that all of these prophecies are happening before our very eyes, drawing attention to the current administration where members and pastors of the church are holding key positions already.

“The presence of the Vice President, Prof, Yemi Osinbajo, Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, Gov. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike of Rivers State, Mr. Okechukwu Enelamah, Minister of Industry, Investments and Trade, Speaker of Ekiti State, Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Gabriel Olonisakin, Mr. Tunde Fowler, Acting Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and the spokesperson to the Vice President, Laolu Akande points to the direction of fulfillment of the prophecies and declarations of this brilliant mathematician cum General Overseer,” our source further argued.

Contending that just few days ago, Ben Akabueze, a Provincial Pastor with RCCG and a former Commissioner for Budget and Planning in Lagos State was appointed by President Buhari as Special Adviser on Planning.

Recently Pastor Adeboye and the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo charged Nigerians to be honest in everything they do, be it small or big, charging the new leaders to rule the country with the fear of God.
