Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Sunny Onuesoke, has hailed the Supreme Court decision which upheld the victory Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, describing it as long over due.

He said the ruling will go a long way in restoring the hope and confidence of the Nigerians on the sanctity of the judiciary.

Onuesoke, who spoke with newsmen in Abuja, said: “The judgment of the apex court is a victory for our democracy and a reaffirmation of the divine mandate freely given to him by the people of Delta State,”

Onuesoke urged the oppositions to demonstrate maturity by appealing to their supporters to take the judgment in good faith so as to provide even ground for   accelerated development in the state.

He also described the the Supreme Court judgment on Akwa Ibom, Abia  as “hope for Nigeria.
