LAGOS—THE League of Patriotic Lawyers has hailed the choice of Mrs Sharon Ikeazor as the All Progressives Congress, APC, senatorial candidate in Anambra Central Senatorial District, noting that her candidacy would guarantee victory for the party in the forthcoming senatorial election.

Briefing newsmen, Chairman of the association Mr. Abubakar Yesufu, described Ikeazor as a reliable politician, who would be a worthy representative of the Igbo nation.

His words: ‘’The Chairman, League of Patriotic Lawyers, has thrown his weight behind the nomination of Sharon Ikeazor for the Anambra Central Senatorial District election. Sharon Ikeazor, who was a former classmate at the University of Benin, Faculty of Law is a woman of virtue and vision. She is a willing vehicle to take the Igbo nation to the mainstream of Nigerian politics.

‘’The senatorial candidate has always been consistent on the part of change. Sharon is urbane, intelligent and full of initiative. Even when the then ANPP receded in questionable defeat, Sharon remained defiant and refused to jump ship, till the very end.

‘’Like Fashola, this made in University of Benin brand would no doubt hoist University of Benin flying flag in the safe shores of the senate.”

The league further advised the Igbo nation to profit from history and recalibrate their priorities in the vehicle of change that is currently sweeping across the nation.’’
