Abia CP visits family of slain monarch

ABA—Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Joshak Habila has visited the family of the slain monarch of Ikeala Ahiaba autonomous community, Eze James Nwabeke who was assassinated by unknown gunmen.

Vanguard gathered that Eze Nwabeke’s wife and his daughter in law, who suffered severe machete cuts during the attack, are still battling for survival in an undisclosed hospital after the monarch was murdered in cold blood on Tuesday morning.

Speaking at the family compound of the deceased monarch, Joshak who was accompanied by the  Aba Area Commander, ACP Peter Wagbara amongst other senior police officers in the state,  described the incident as unfortunate and assured the family that they (police) would stop at nothing in unmasking those behind the dastardly act.

The police boss, who expressed confidence in the expertise of the personnel investigating the matter, hinted that the police were already closing in on the hoodlums.
