By Lawani Mikairu

The immediate past Governor of Abia State,, Chief Theodore Orji has condemned attacks on his person and dragging of his name in the mud by the Abia State All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Dr Alex Otti.

Reacting to a  documentary allegedly aired by Abia State APGA governorship candidate for 2015 election, the Media Adviser to Chief Orji, Mr. Don Norman Obinna in a statement in Lagos said Dr. Otti and his allies concertedly dragged the distinguished senator into his  election adventure.

Obinna said Chief Orji would have “disregarded the documentary meant to manipulate the psyche of some gullible Nigerians to accept as factual Otti’s fictitious and contemptible allegation of intimidation and massive rigging in favour of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared winner, Governor Okezie Ikeazu but  his allies have refused to desist from campaign of calumny.”

The statement reads: “For the records, Senator Orji, who was the then governor of Abia State was with Chief Olisa Metuh in his residence when he got information of an imminent breakdown of law and order as a result of the announced cancellation of Obingwa Osisioma and Isialangwa North Local Government Areas by the INEC returning officer, Prof. Benjamin Ozumba.
