LOKOJA—NEWLY sworn-in governor of Kogi State,  Yahaya Bello, has denied all the facebook and twitter accounts bearing his name; saying  he does not have, or operate any social accounts.

The governor, who stated this through a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Kingsley Fanwo, said it became imperative to let the public know not to fall victim of fraudsters pretending to be the governor.

He said: “We wish to inform the press and indeed, the public that the governor has not opened any facebook or twitter account. This announcement is imperative in view of recent floating of fake social media accounts in the name of Governor Yahaya Bello by unscrupulous individuals to defraud the unsuspecting public.”
