Beverages firm donates three patrol vans to Anambra State Police

PEOPLE FEEL that the police in America and Europe are more active than our policemen and women here, but that is not true. We have more active policemen here than anywhere in the world. “The Police do more manual jobs here than in those countries, where they do more of electronic jobs which are more easy. The police in the United States are different because once you call them, they have all the electronic gadgets to stay in a place to do their jobs.

patrolIt is the promptness of the police in America and Europe in attending to security matters that make them different and that is because they have all the required equipment they need to do their jobs and I am sure if you give the Nigerian police half of what they have in America and Europe, they will do better and excel and that is why we are giving out some of these things they need to them,” he said.

Operational environment

Also speaking on the occasion, the Plant Manager of Intafact Beverages Limited, Mr. Godwin Alen said that “we belong to an organization where we are so conscious of the environment where we operate… the people in the community of our operation, security is everybody’s business.

“This is one of the ways that we as an organization can contribute to the security issues in our operational environment and in our nation and we want a situation whereby people can move around freely and properties are protected and people are happy and going about their lawful businesses…

“We shall do more because we are a responsible and responsive organization. We make beer and other drinks and we want our customers to be protected while patronizing us and this is part of the things we can do to ensure their safety and help our community and the government in their efforts in providing security and peace in our environment.

“The police will always do their jobs, and we know that our vehicles and their papers are all intact, we do not have any issue when our vehicles are stopped, for checks. its part of police routine security jobs. We are only asking for a situation where the checks will be done with dispatch, so that they do not impede our movements.”
