PORT HARCOURT— Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has promised a robust relationship with the organised private sector to strengthen the growth of the economy.
The governor, yesterday at Government House, Port Harcourt, when he played host to President of Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Mines and Agriculture, NACCIMA, Chief Edem Edem and his team, said his government will continue to partner the organised private sector to grow the business climate.
The governor also directed the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority to provide a permanent trade fair site for PHCCIMA’s annual international trade fair.
Earlier, President of NACCIMA, Chief Edem, lauded the governor for steps so far taken to encourage growth of the business climate in the state.
Meantime, PHCCIMA will hold its trade fair at the former Liberation Stadium, now Yakubu Gowon Stadium.
President of PHCCIMA, Dr Emi Membere-Otaji, said that international exhibitors will participate in the fair.
Membere-Otaji said local governments and companies will have their special days during the fair to exhibit their areas of strength.
