The General Overseer of the Living Faith Church (LFC), Bishop David Oyedepo, on Wednesday urged Nigerians to unite in prayers to overcome the current challenges facing the country. Oyedepo spoke at the opening ceremony of the annual Winners Chapel Convention, Shiloh 2015, entitled “From Glory to Glory,’’ at Canaan land, Km 10, Idiroko Road, Ota, Ogun State.
He said that Christians had the ability to cause changes in their environment and urged them to take advantage of such opportunities. The overseer urged Nigerians to be spiritually alert in the midst of a revival in order not to miss out of the blessings that God gives. “The implication of the convention is to bring everybody from all walks of life together and pray for the country.
“We will pray for God’s intervention in the countries that are in conflict; for God to restore peace and change the mind of the people,’’ he said. The cleric said that prayer would heal the nations concerned, as there was no situation that could not be saved by God. He offered special prayers for peace of the country and the world at large, and also for members of the church.
Oyedepo said that Shiloh was a mountain of empowerment and divine visitation. The 2015 Shiloh, the 17th edition, has delegates from more than 47 nations attending. Some of the nations with delegates include Ghana, Kenya, Botswana, Congo, and South Africa. Others include United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
