The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association, NECA, and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, ACCA, have signed a memorandum of understanding, MoU, on human manpower development, capacity building and talent management in the financial sector.
At the signing ceremony in Lagos, NECA’s Director General, Segun Oshinowo, and ACCA Global CEO, Helen Brand, agreed that there was a commonality of purpose and meeting of mandate between both bodies, which will help the partnership put a structure in place to help Nigeria’s economic development.
According to Brand, “partnership such as this is vital to the professionalism and efficiency that we stand for. ACCA is market driven in terms of the qualifications it produces and the members and students it supports. This is how we meet the needs of employees, which this collaboration with NECA will help us achieve.”
“This is critical to business development in Nigeria. After ACCA’s 10 years of operation in Nigeria, there is need for this kind of collaboration that will help understand the needs of this important financial sector.”
