How I collect N10, 000 to deliver stolen cars from Port Harcourt to Aba —Robbery suspect

ABA—A 28 year old robbery suspect, Agbawo Ejiogu, has revealed how he collects N10, 000 to deliver each stolen car from Port Harcourt, Rivers State to Aba, Abia State, where they are sold to buyers in the city.

Ejiogu, one of the armed robbery and kidnapping suspects paraded by the Abia State Commissioner of Police at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Obehie Police Division, Ukwa West Local Government Area of the state,  is an alleged member of the gang that specializes in snatching cars in Port Harcourt and ferrying them to Aba, where they are sold.

In an interview with journalists, Ejiogu, who claimed to be a commercial bus driver, said that he had been in the business of ferrying stolen cars from Port Harcourt to Aba for more than six months.

“I charge the sum of N10, 000 per stolen car delivered from Port Harcourt to Aba for my Oga, who is now at large.  It is a business I have been doing for more than six months now. When you pay, we deliver the car to any place of your choice in Aba.”

Other suspects in the car snatching business paraded by the police include Iwuagwu Ugonna, Ndubuisi Ekeh, Stephen Ikechukwu, Chigozie Ngozi, Dandy Job, Chiemezue Egwuonwu and Albert Iheariochi.

Ejiogu further said  that his gang works with some car dealers, who resell such stolen cars to some unsuspecting buyers in Aba.

Also paraded were two members of a kidnapping gang, Chigozie Ngozi, a native of Amavoukwu in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area and Chiemezue Egwuonwu, who confessed that that their duties were to take care of kidnapped victims and ensure their release after ransom had been paid.
