Hi-Impact Planet (HIP) has invested over N6billion on construction and purchase of amusement park facilities, just as it announces plans to create about 2000 jobs to benefit young Nigerians. Hip is an amusement theme park located at KM 12 Lagos- Ibadan Expressway opposite Mountaintop University and would be officially launched on December 18, 2015.

Speaking during the  facility tour in Ogun state, Chairman, Solution Media and Infotech, Mr. Adeyanju Lipede,  said that the tour is a strategy to intimate government, stakeholders and the general public of the Park. According to him  “the investment portfolio up till now is in excess of N6 billion and then it is not going to stop there, that is why we are happy to have the financial institutions here, even the land here is more than N2 billion, so you can see how expensive it is.

Some of the rides you see there are in excess of N500million but the good thing is that the biggest business in the world all over today is entertainment, either in foot ball, music and film acting, they are still the highest paid in the world including amusement park.” The world Disney land started with television series media and then went into amusement park today they are in trillion dollar profit sharing.

But here in Nigeria we have what we call the population relatively in average form and we can always take it from there and you can imagine if we have 10,000 people come to the park, in a day that’s a lot of money.”Lipede said. He also stated that the facility  has enhanced the value of the area, adding that in a short while it’s going to be the reference point. “In the next one year you will hear people say I am five minutes away from Hi- Impact planet.”

When we started this facility four years ago, the value of the land here per plot was just about maybe N3milion or N2million, now it’s about N6 to N7million and am sure in the next two years they are going to start selling at N10million, you will   find out that people who have small businesses will catch in on the patronage of this place.” he said

He further stated that a lot of people in the area   will benefit from the business in the community and also help the development of the community in addition to the fact that they are providing a social responsibility which is in terms of the clinic which they have in the park, the community people will be empowered.

“We are going to bring in the banking sector here so those who are in the immediate environment are going to benefit from that and the police will also give us back up, so it makes it a much more safe place.” he said.

Also speaking at the tour  Mr.  Rufai Ladipo, who is the Chief Executive Officer, Agile Communication & Marketing Consultant to Hi-Impact planet said the concept was borne out of the realization that the niche for children entertainment is largely un-catered for, adding that this need led to establishing the high impact for creative kids, a creatively based competition for school children and seeking to reward and encourage creativity in children within the school system.

Ladipo disclosed that the park sits on 185,000sqm and has the capacity to host approximately 125,000 people daily, which represents the largest entertainment gathering of fun lovers at the same place in Nigeria. “With wide array of thrilling outdoor rides and exciting indoor games many of which are award winning 2015 games and manufactured to the highest European and North American safety and technical standards, HIP is poised to revolutionise the game industry in West Africa. Its ride are sourced from world acclaimed European and North American manufacturers,” he stated.

He assured that there will also be a new game every quarter at the planet to ensure continued innovation and more fun for regular and unique visitors to the park. Other side attractions include the food court, luxury studio, two bedroom and 5-bedroom semi-detached apartments, redemption games and souvenir joints are also situated at the park to ensure a pleasurable and memorable visit. Several financial institutions Wema bank, First bank, Eco bank and Skye bank amongst others have partnered to make the concept a huge success.
