Efficient service delivery to customers remain our priority – Total MD

ABUJA – The Managing Director of Total Nigeria Pls, Alexis Volk, weekend, said any corporate body that jokes with its customers plans its extinction.

This according to him necessitated the total respect accorded their customers all over the world.
To this end, the company organizes NIGOSCAR Competition annually to implant into its customer service attendants the culture of treating customers as a king.

Eight teams, who are champions from eight sales areas featured at this year competition which took place at Wuse Zone 6 Total Filling Station in Abuja.

Volk, who was speaking at the competition, said “NIGOSCAR Competition is an opportunity to demonstrate our culture of providing Top service to our customers which has proven to be one of our differentiating traits in the industry. Top Service is TOTAL. TOTAL is Top Service.”

He explained that “TOP SERVICE is a combination of all the services we render to our customers to win their loyalty and differentiate us from competitors. It is a demonstration of who we are as Total, what we do every day of the week, every week of the year.

“2015 has proven to be one of the most challenging years in the history of the company due to several economic and political factors. However in the midst of all these challenges, it is all the more important to differentiate ourselves by providing the best service a customer can expect.”

Volk further said that “we must be able to deliver a service that customers would not expect.

“We must always remember that the customer is the reason we are in business. It is therefore imperative that as staff of Total, you satisfy these customers, attract new ones and retain existing ones with outstanding service delivery. We need to go the extra mile to identify their needs and work hard at surpassing their expectations.

“Let’s not forget that our competitors are trying to copy us, and can be innovative. So we must continue to improve in our service delivery by showing strong commitment to Top Service in all our stations nationwide, day in, day out.

“You, as pump attendant, as shop attendant, as driveway supervisor, as dealer, you are Total’s ambassadors: the mirror through which the Company is viewed.

You are in charge of our brand management, its recognition and its sustainability, and ultimately, its acceptance by the market.”

In his welcome remarks, the Retail Sales Manager, North, Mr Mufutau Balogun urged them to always put the interest of the company at heart by projecting its image positively; promising that their well being would not be joked with.

At end of the competition that was keenly contested by the teams, Abuja Sales Area scored 26.5 points to claim the trophy with monetary reward of N35, 000 for each contestants, while the Port-Harcourt Sales Area got 26 points to take second position with N15, 000 cash for each contestants and Ibadan Sale Area came third with 25 points and N10, 000 cash.
