…As Rochas says NASS crisis over

SPEAKER of the House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubu Dogara has assured the people of Ideato North/South Federal Constituency that the House would speed up its efforts at addressing environmental degradation in the constituency, noting that the matter had been referred to the House Committee on Environment.

This came as Imo State governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha called on Nigerians to expect robust representation from members of the National Assembly, NASS, adding that stability has returned to the green chamber.

The duo said this at a thanksgiving ceremony convened for a member of the House Mr. Austin Chukwukere in Obodoukwu. According to Dogara, “efforts will be geared towards tackling environmental degradation and poor road network in this constituency.

“My coming here has further enlightened us about environmental degradation and other issues in this place. Now that the motion has scaled through and referred to our committee on environment, we would do everything within our powers to bring succour to the people of this area.”
