Wilfred Oyinyere Ndidi
AS the Super Eagles continue their reconstruction under its new Coach, Sunday Oliseh, debutant Wilfred Oyinyere Ndidi is excited about his Eagles’ appearance and he is yearning for more action if invited again.
Following his appearances in the two friendly matches played against DR Congo and Cameroun in Belgium, Ndidi is still in cloud nine. The former Flying Eagles star, who is a regular with Belgium elite side, Genk came in twice during the 2-0 loss and 3-0 win against DR Congo and Cameroun respectively believes he still has a lot to offer in his kitty.
“Playing for the Super Eagles was a nice experience as I felt great in the colours of the senior national team. For now I really don’t know how to describe the feelings but I always believe I can be better I still need to work hard,” he said.
Aside being excited in the colours of the Eagles, Ndidi admitted that he learnt a lot from other players in the team. “I have learnt a lot even outside the pitch and also from other players too.
Even before my first kick I was amazed saying that could this be real or dream?”, he added. This season, Ndidi has been a regular with Genk especially in matches involving their rivals in the Belgian league, Standard Liege and Anderlect.
After a successful trial with the Belgian side, the former Nathaniel Boys of Lagos defender made his debut for Genk on January 31, 2015 in their 1-0 away win over Charleroi.
