Chief Edwin Clark
By Tony Nwankwo
Ijaw Monitoring Group, IMG, has described as baseless, recent media reports condemning Chief Edwin Clark’s comments on former President Goodluck Jonathan.
In a statement, National Coordinator, IMG, Comrade Joseph Evah, described Chief Clark as the best father to the former president, saying the Jjaw national leader would continue to be the ‘last man standing’ for Goodluck Jonathan.
The former publicity secretary of Ijaw National Congress, INC, said: “I also openly criticized the former president in the press when he attempted to remove the former National Security Adviser, General Owoye Azazi, to please some people, yet Jonathan went ahead to remove him. Does that make me a betrayer?”
“As a true father, Chief Clark never clapped for everything Goodluck Jonathan did while in office. You will recall when Clark openly opposed the former president when he was unable to stop the gang-up of governors against Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.”
