Egbema youths rally support for Dickson’s 2nd term bid

Hundreds of youths under the aegis of Egbema Youth Front, EYF, have, thronged Ogbotobo community, Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, to canvass support for the re-election bid of Governor Seriake Dickson in the December 5, 2015 election.

The youths, who arrived Ogbotobo community in more than 12 speedboats, led by their chairman,  Mr Daniel Sapele, said that Governor Dickson’s performance and antecedents in the last three and a half years as governor of the state has won their hearts, therefore, they were reciprocating by supporting his re-election bid.

Sapele said: “The on-going construction of the Bayelsa West senatorial road project, Bayelsa East senatorial road project, first fly-over bridge in Yenagoa, prompt payment of salaries as well as human capital development programmes spread evenly across the state necessitated our support. We have, therefore, endorsed him for another term.”

He assured Governor Dickson of 99 percent of votes and pledged the group’s resolve to embark on house to house campaign in the local governments and various communities that make up Bayelsa West senatorial district.

He thanked Mr. Fred Agbedi, the member representing Bayelsa West federal constituency and Mr. Michael  Ogbere, representing Ekeremor 111 in the House of Assembly for their unflinching support for Governor Dickson. He urged members of the community to remain steadfast with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, government in the state.
