OLEH—YOUTH Wing of Ndokwa Neku Union, NNU, Delta State, yesterday, appealed to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, to address what they described as the continuous diversion of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, monthly security stipends due to youths of Ndokwa nation by some political office holders for selfish gains.
NNU Youth Wing, in a letter addressed to the governor, lamented that youths of Ndokwa nation had in the last eight years, not had their share of the stipends paid to all oil producing ethnic nationalities in the state for the development and empowerment of their youths.
The letter by the body’s National President, Marcus Enudi, said: “The rightful channel for issues affecting youths of Ndokwa nation to be addressed and related to is through NNU Youth Wing which is the apex youth body in Ndokwa nation.
“It is in line with our earnest desire to get the stipends at the grassroots level for proper development of youths of Ndokwa nation that has necessitated us to partner the leadership of Host Communities of Nigeria, Oil and Gas, HOSTCOM, in Ndokwa nation.”
They appealed to the governor to henceforth to pay all monthly entitlement of the commission through the NNU Youth Wing.
