Torino midfielder Joel Obi is doubtful for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania in just over two weeks time. According to reports by , the Nigeria international is feeling pains in the flexor muscles of the left thigh and results of further tests carried out Thursday to know the extent of damage and the number of days he will have to spend on the sidelines were still being awaited.

Joel Obi joined Torino from Inter Milan in the first week of July but has struggled to remain fit since his arrival, with the attacking midfielder undergoing individual training few weeks after completing the switch.
