UMUAHIA— Ben Onyechere, President, Igbo Question Movement, has said that the assertions of one of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA’s governorship candidates in the last general election, Mr. Alex Otti, that he had the capacity to claim a mandate from the elections  tribunal is not only scandalous, but also an abuse of the sensibilities of the people of Abia, who came out en masse to vote.

Speaking in an interview, Onyechere said: “The insinuation of capacity by Otti is rife with indictment against the tribunal which is made up of respectable judicial experts. It is indeed bizarre that such an untoward and careless statement can be attributed to Otti, who is supposedly exposed by his profession as a banker.

“This same Otti came to PDP in a quest to purchase the party’s governorship ticket and when he could not succeed, got through in Apga, for which reason APGA of Abia has remained in fractious contention till today.

“The people of Abia simply decided for the first time to rotate power to Abia South for which reason they massively voted for one of their own they considered as a bridge of sort across all social and political segments of their society. It is, therefore, self delusion for him to expect Abians to have taken him serious.”
