Congo will be parading a high-powered 23-man squad including 11 foreign-based professionals for a final round of Caf Under-23 Championship qualifier against Nigeria.
Among those in the selection by coach Claude Leroy are midfielders Philzgérarld Mbaka (Getafe/ Espagne), Juvrel Loumingou (La Berrichonne de Châteauroux/ France), Ravy Tsouka (Crotone/ Italy) as well as strikers Mavis Tchibota Dufounou (Maccabbi Tel Aviv/ Israel), Kevin Xavier Brandon Koubemba (Lille/ France) and Ulrich Poutou (Chambly/France).
Several local talents were left out of an initial 39-man provisional squad including the likes of Kader Bidimbou and Dua Ankira (AC Léopards) Grâce Mamic Itoua (Diables Noirs), Amour Loussoukou (Cara), Issambet Saira (Etoile du Congo), Kaya Makosso (Carpe) and goalkeeper Joe Ombandza (AS Kondzo).
Congo eliminated the highly-rated Ghana to set up the clash with Nigeria’s Dream Team VI.
The first leg encounter comes up in the Garden a City of Port-Harcourt on Sunday.
