‘Why Kebbi voted Governor Baguda’

Kaduna—A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, from Kebbi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Garba, has attributed the success of Governor Atiku Baguda at the poll to his philanthropic activities in the state.

Describing Baguda as the “people’s governor,” Garba who spoke with reporters in Kaduna, yesterday, said that the governor should deploy his wealth of experience to transform the state.

According to Garba, “Governor Baguda is a philanthropist and I believe his philanthropic activities contributed a great deal to his victory in the  governorship election in Kebbi State. He is a sincere leader whose vision is to transform the entire state.

“Through his philanthropic activities, Governor Baguda has carried out a lot of developmental activities in the areas of education, health, agriculture, youth and women empowerment, among others.

“I call on the people of Kebbi State to give all the needed support and cooperation to the governor to enable him carry out his functions peacefully and successfully.

“I also urge traditional and religious leaders to always propagate the gospel of peace, unity and understanding among their followers in order to achieve sustainabe peace and unity not only in Kebbi State but in the north and Nigeria as a whole.”
