Stanbic IBTC wins first prize in corporate citizens awards

In recognition of its strict adherence to corporate governance ethics, Stanbic IBTC Bank has won the first prize in the maiden edition of the Corporate Citizen Awards. Organized by the Corporate Affairs Commission, the award is designed to recognize and reward corporate entities that have consistently adhered to applicable by-laws under the auspices of CAC and conducted business in Nigeria to the highest standards of responsible corporate practice.

To win the ‘Best Complying Company of the Year’ award, which was presented at a formal ceremony at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, recently, Stanbic IBTC Bank was selected ahead of a strong field of competitors from the financial services industry.

Expressing joy on this achievement, Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Holdings, Mrs. Sola David-Borha, stated that it represents a powerful endorsement of the strength of Nigeria’s financial services sector, the quality of its regulatory framework, as well as of Stanbic IBTC’scomprehensive and globally bench-marked framework on best practice. She said the Stanbic IBTC Group is guided by the vision of making a real difference in providing financial services in Nigeria.
