BENIN CITY—THE Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, PSN, in Edo State, has urged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state to ensure that whoever succeeds Governor Adams Oshiomhole, must be one that has the capacity to sustain the developmental strides of the governor and improves on it.

The state chairman of the PSN, Christopher Iyare stated this during an advocacy visit of the 1988 set of Immaculate Conception College Old-boys Association meeting in Benin City, yesterday.

He pointed out that the state had witnessed tremendous development in the past six years and warned that the people of the state may go back to the dark days if the leadership of the APC compromised credibility and track records when picking Oshiomhole’s successor.

His words: “The Oshiomhole-led administration has created the enabling environment for businesses to flourish in the state apart from the monumental infrastructural development the state has witnessed. So we must continue in this progressive light and that is why we want to appeal to the leadership of the APC to ensure that they pick the right person as Oshiomhole’s successor so that this developmental strides will continue in the state.

“They should not compromise credibility in picking Oshiomhole’s successor because the state cannot afford to destroy the positive impact already made by this administration in the interest of the people of this state.”
