The Disciplinary Committee of Nigeria Football Federation has summoned Super Eagles captain and goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama to appear before it on Tuesday.
The Lille OSC of France goaltender is being invited to explain his statement against the football house’s choice of Kaduna for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Chad on Saturday, June 13.
Chairman of the committee, Barrister Chris Green, conveyed the message to the shot stopper.
Midfielder Ogenyi Onazi, who earned a straight red card for an act of retaliation during the said match, has been issued a letter of reprimand, ordered to produce a written apology and fined the sum of $5 000. In a letter signed by Tunde Aderibigbe on behalf of the General Secretary and dated 19th June, the NFF wrote thus:
“The board of the Nigeria Football Federation has viewed your behaviour and conduct during the Nigeria/Chad match as tantamount to gross indiscipline and unprofes-sional.’’
