The Nigeria Football Federation has moved swiftly to help Manchester City teen superstar Kelechi Iheanacho secure a visa and join up with the Nigeria Under-20 team in Germany where they are presently in camp ahead of the World Youth Championship.

Reports suggest he will be in camp before the end of the week.

The NFF were alerted to the player’s plight in securing a Schenghen visa and as of yesterday took over the proceedings to secure him a visa.

Manchester City, in the views of the NFF, are not pursuing the issue with the urgency it deserves as obtaining a Schengen visa to travel to Germany shouldn’t take more than 48 hours and there are fears they want him to play in City EDS game this weekend.

In taking over the proceedings the NFF will now have to apply to the German embassy to grant him a visa by specifically including his hotel booking and other relevant information to speed up the process and a response is expected in the next 48 hours.
