Delta APC appeals judgment on congress

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Delta State and the state executive committee, led by Prophet Jones Erue, have appealed the judgment of the Delta State High Court which ordered the conduct of a fresh congress to elect new officers for the state APC executive.

Counsel to APC, Mr A. Mukoro, in the appeal, is asking the Appeal Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State, to set aside the said judgment of the state High Court, Asaba, as delivered by Justice Nduka Obi, on the ground that the decision occasioned a miscarriage of justice.

According to Mukoro, the parties also filed a motion for stay of execution of the judgment.

Meanwhile, Delta State APC chairman, Prophet Erue, has commended Nigerians for supporting the APC and voting massively for President-elect,  Muhammadu Buhari at the poll.

He also extended a hand of reconciliation to all aggrieved members of the party and  appreciated the people of Delta State for supporting the party’s governorship candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor and reposing  confidence in the APC.
