A Peace Ambassador for the Commonwealth Youth Council’s Youth Campaign Against Election Violence (Y-CAEV) in Nigeria, Babangida Ruma, urges Nigerians to support the newly inaugurated president, Muhammadu Buhari, stressing that collective responsibility by all is what will bring the desired change in the country.
Ruma who stated that he believed in the new administration however explained that Buhari cannot effect good governance without Nigerian’s support.
He furthers, “We have called for change and change has come. But to be ready to reap from change we must be ready to change and change others. Ask yourself, what have you done today and intended to do tomorrow to for change?
Buhari cannot do it alone; the change we desire in governance is our collective responsibility. We should start changing now and encourage others to do the same .”
The peace ambassador added that little changes such as being orderly on queues, obeying traffic instructions, among others can bring about positive change in our lives.
He concluded saying Nigeria will aspire to be one of the most cherished nations in the entire African continent and beyond if the a collective support is given to the Buhari leadership government.
