LAGOS — Two men, Akinola Bale, 35, and Dapo Awofisibe, 37, have been charged before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing 71 bags of rubber materials belonging to Dangote Group.
Bale and Awofisibe were accused by the police to have stolen the 71 bags of rubber, valued at N1.1 million, at Plot 3, Oba Akran Avenue, Ikeja Lagos.
They were arraigned on a two-count charge before Chief Magistrate Y. O. Aje Afunwa.
However, when the charge was read to the accused persons, they pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Afunwa granted the accused persons N500,000 bail, with two sureties that will show evidence of means of livelihood and verifiable office and house addresses.
