Delta State Deputy Governor, Prof. Amos Utuama, SAN, has described the victory of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa in the governorship election in the state as heart warming and delightful.

Utuama, in Asaba yesterday, explained that the victory was an eloquent testimony to the fact that democracy can only thrive where there is no imposition.

He said:  “The victory of our governorship candidate, Senator Okowa, is very heart warming and delightful. It shows that, one, democracy can only thrive where there is no imposition.   To emphasis a little more, Okowa was not a product of imposition. That is why he won the primaries hands down.

“Two, the election just held also demonstrated that Delta State has become one because Dr Okowa’s votes spread all over the 25 local government areas. He won in the North where he comes from; he won in the South and he won in Central.”
