OWERRI—Commercial tricycle, Keke NAPEP, operators, who ply Owerri Main Market-MCC Road-Uratta axis in Owerri, have protested alleged ritual killing of one of their colleagues.
One of them told Vanguard that their colleague was last seen alive on Monday, when he was hired by passengers to move them to a village located along Owerri-Aba federal highway.
The tricycle operator said when their colleague did not return, they quickly reported his disappearance to the police.
He said: “A search party was organized. The lifeless body was later discovered, but some of his vital parts were missing.”
Their peaceful demonstration resulted in commuters trekking to and from their destinations.
