Centre for Citizens living with Disability, CCD, has tasked President Goodluck Jonathan to ensure that the Disability Bill was signed into law before he vacates office on May 29.

The centre, which promotes independent living, human rights and inclusion of people living with disability into the socio-economic development of the country, said it was worried over the low turnout of the persons with disability at the last general elections.

It, however, attributed the low turn out to the inability of its members to register and collect their permanent voter’s card, PVC.

According to the Executive Director of the group, Mr. David Anayele, “we are worried over the low turnout of persons with disability at the last general elections, which may not be unconnected to their inability to register during voter’s registration and collection of their voter’s cards.”
