WARRI—Delta State Woman Leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Janet Oyubu, has described the emergence of General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd) in the March 28 presidential election as a turning point in the nation’s democratic system.

Oyubu, when she addressed scores of APC women from the three senatorial districts in the state, yesterday, commended the active role they played during the presidential election, where Gen. Buhari emerged victorious and enjoined them to do same in subsequent elections.

According to her, the victory of the president-elect has opened ways for all APC candidates in both the governorship and House of Assembly elections, adding that they should vote wisely in Saturday’s elections.

“We have started moving forward and there is no going back. We must ensure that APC takes over from the PDP henceforth. Gone are the days when APC was an opposition party, rather we will continue to dominate the political system in the country,” the APC chieftain stressed.

She enjoined all party faithful to vote for Olorogun O’tega Emerhor for governorship of the state, explaining that they cannot afford to be in the opposition.
