Despite the close margin between All Progressives Congress, APC, and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the March 28 presidential and National Assembly elections in Lagos State, Senator Gbenga Ashafa has emphatically declared that the APC governorship candidate, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, will poll the highest number of votes with a wide margin on Saturday.

Ashafa, who is also the Senator-elect for the Lagos East senatorial district, following a successful re-election for a second term on March 28, further analyzed the current political landscape and how the gubernatorial elections would play out.

He expressed confidence in the chances of the APC, adding that the party’s political machinery on ground in Lagos State was fit enough to return the party to Alausa seat of power on April 11.

Ashafa noted that APC deserved to win the governor-ship election in Lagos.
