Jos – Elections are still on going in nine local government areas in Plateau State and the affected Councils are Kanam, Bassa, Jos North, Jos East, Wase, Kanke, Langtang South, Mangu and Riyom.

State INEC Head of Voters Education/Publicity, Mr. Osaretin Imahiyerobo told Vanguard on Sunday in Jos that accreditations in the affected polling units in the said councils were done Saturday but voting could not hold due to certain hitches.

He added results will be withheld till all polling units across the State turn in their results, “it is only then that the results can be released when collation had been concluded and that will possibly not be today.”

However, the State was generally peaceful as electorate conducted themselves orderly and at the time of this report, residents were flocking newspapers stands reading and discussing the elections.
