As part of its corporate strategy to support sound health for mankind, Vitafoam Nigeria Plc, a quoted company on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE has pledged to expand its production of modern sleep products.
Addressing journalists at a ceremony marking the 2015 World Sleep Day, the company’s Group Managing Director, Mr. Joel Ajiga explained that Vitafoam Nigeria had ventured into production and supply of flexible, semi-rigid and rigid polyurethane foam products leading to incorporation of more subsidiaries.
“Vitafoam over the years has metamorphosed from being a household name in the production of just mattresses and pillows into being a foremost provider of ultimate comfort products.
Though the company’s mainstay over the course of its 53 years of business was in beddings and related products, it had ventured into production and supply of flexible, semi rigid and rigid polyurethane foam products including furniture, bed and beddings, foot wears, panels insulated and moulded product. This expansion gave birth to some of its current subsidiaries Vitapur, Vitagreen, Vitavisco and Vitablom.
“As a solution-oriented organisation, Vitafoam Nigeria Plc, supports the World Association of Sleep Medicine (WASM) to lessen the burden of sleep problems on society through better prevention and management of sleep disorders with our world class sleep products. We have over sixteen products that help to support sleeping like our spring mattress, memory topper, bed sheets, duvet, throw and memory pillow e.t.c” he said.
Ajiga identified some factors that can enhance healthy sleep. He alluded to an expert who once said “getting a good night sleep depends on a lot of factors; comfort, stress level, room temperature but to get it right you have to start with the basics and your mattress is the first building block to a restful slumber. Our spring mattress is posturpedic, orthopedic and therapeutic, this mattress help to support your body in a neutral position, one in which your spine has a nice curvature while your buttocks, heels, shoulders and head are supported in proper alignment.”
